Betty Rae Wingo

Betty Rae Wingo, 94, passed away Tuesday March 1, 2022. Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Aledo Brown Cemetery, Aledo. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Betty was born December 20, 1927 in Caddo, TX, daughter of Lloyd and Polly Evitt Reid. She met her husband, Claude Wingo, and they were married on December 10, 1949. They would go on to spend over 44 years together, until his passing in 1994. Betty was a registered nurse who enjoyed working at the Aledo Schools for 23 years. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Claude Wingo. Survivors include four daughters, Sheila Swan, Mona Brown, Lisa Wingo-Biegler, and Trisa Wingo; two sons, Jody Wingo, and Lance Wingo; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.
