Betty Tucker Scott, 79, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend went home to Jesus on Monday, December 29, 2025.

Betty Ruth Tucker Scott was born September 17, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Nancy Elizabeth Johnson Tucker and Chester Dake Tucker. She graduated from Midwestern State University. Betty taught high school business classes, was a local advisor, state advisor and state chairman for Texas Future Business Leaders of America. Betty also taught Sunday School at her church. Betty was also very active member of Parker County Retired School Personnel. Betty’s children, grandchildren and her Sunday School class were her pride and joy. She was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Penny, and her beloved husband, Alva William “Scotty” Scott.

Survivors include her children Brian D. Scott and wife, Michelle, and Melody Freeman and husband, Harry; grandchildren Avery and Carson Scott; sisters Ellen Tucker Cullins, and husband Fred, and Carol Tucker McClendon and husband Joe Liberto; multiple nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.

She is buried in Annetta Cemetery, Annetta, TX. 

Her Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church, Weatherford, TX on April 11, 2026. At 10:00 AM. Services in care of White’s Funeral Home.
