Betty June Prince

Today we honor and celebrate the remarkable life of Betty June Prince, a woman of grace, faith, and distinction, whose presence left a lasting imprint on everyone privileged to know her.

Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2026 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Funeral Service: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at North Main Church of God, 803 North Main St., Weatherford.

Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery, 500 E. Front St., Weatherford.

Betty June Bullman Prince, 98 years of age, passed away at her home in Weatherford on Wednesday, June 10, 2026. Betty was born on July 16, 1927 to Nicholas Justus Bley Bullman and Constance Daphne White Bullman at their home near Lockney, Texas. In her childhood and teen years, she was raised on the Texas Coast.

Betty met a young evangelist named Charles Prince, who came to their church to preach a revival. He fell in love with the young, beautiful girl who sang and played the piano and the guitar in the services. On February 20th, 1946 they were married on a Wednesday night after church services, at the Church of God in Aransas Pass, Texas. They served in ministry together in the Church of God for 80 years. They were blessed with three children, Francis Jean (Jeannie), Louis Edward and Connie Beth.

For almost 99 years, Betty lived a life that reflected the love and goodness of God. As a devoted minister’s wife, she faithfully served alongside her husband, Charles Prince, supporting the work of the ministry with humility, strength, and unwavering commitment. Her life was not merely marked by years, but by purpose, faithfulness, and service.

One of Betty’s greatest gifts was her ability to see the best in people. Where others might have noticed flaws, she recognized potential. Where others might have focused on shortcomings, she offered encouragement. Her words had a way of lifting weary hearts and reminding people of their value and worth.

Betty was known to be a woman of devout prayer who loved the house of God. She found joy within its walls and considered it a privilege to gather with fellow believers in worship. Whether singing praises, playing the organ, or simply participating in the life of the church, she worshiped with sincerity and devotion.

Music flowed naturally from her heart, and through her talents she helped lead countless others into the presence of God. Her faith was not something she practiced only on Sundays, it was woven into every aspect of her life. She demonstrated kindness, generosity, and steadfast love through both ordinary moments and extraordinary seasons.

She was a faithful friend, a trusted confidante, and a source of wisdom to many. Betty’s legacy is found not only in what she accomplished, but in who she was. She showed us what it means to remain faithful through the years, to encourage others generously, and to love God wholeheartedly. Her life serves as a beautiful reminder that true greatness is often found in quiet faithfulness and consistent devotion.

Though we will miss her warm smile, gentle spirit, and encouraging words, we rejoice in the legacy she leaves behind. The seeds of faith she planted, the lives she touched, and the love she shared will continue to bear fruit for generations to come.

Betty, lived those words beautifully. Her race was run with faith, her song was sung with joy, and her testimony will continue to inspire all who knew and loved her. May her memory remain a blessing and her legacy continue to shine.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Prince; her parents, Justus and Daphne Bullman; her precious daughter, Jeannie; her beloved sister, Jean; and her adoring brothers, Jack, Truitt, and Billy.

She is survived by her children, Eddy Prince and his wife, Leah, of Bonham, and Connie Cross and her husband, Terry, of Wichita Falls; her grandchildren, Michelle (Cross) Atchison and husband, Gabe, Janelle (Cross) Newton and husband, Paul, Tiffany (Prince) Begley and husband, Brent, Reverend Matthew Prince and wife, Kristin, Mark Prince and wife, Lindsey, Reverend Daniel Prince and wife, Melanie; her great-grandchildren, Zachary Atchison, Army Captain Aiden Atchison and wife, Gen, Spencer Atchison, Morgan Begley, Ashlyn Begley, Jacob Newton, Joseph Newton and wife, Kara, Joshua Newton, Jonathan Newton, Paxton Prince, Preslee Prince, Jackson Prince, Maddie Prince, Hailey Prince, Emma Prince, Adelyn Prince, and Everly Prince; and her great great-grandchild, Jamison Charles Newton.
