Betty Carolyn McMullen, 75, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, in Azle. Services: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Whites Funeral Home in Azle. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Monday, July 30, 2018 at Whites Funeral Home in Azle. Betty Carolyn McMullen (aka; Nanny) was born in Coleman, Texas July 28, 1942. She enjoyed her family, friends, deeply loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the glue that held our family together and touched the lives of each and every person she met. What a beautiful soul she had and we are especially thankful that she will continue to be our guardian angel. We will truly miss the heart of this family, and her loving nature. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Wayne McMullen, Sr.; parents, Ruby Garrett Machen and Chester Franklin Machen, Sr. Survivors: brother, Chester Machen, Jr. of Springtown, sisters, Roseanne Cornell of Azle and Marcell Smith of Mineral Wells; children, Donald McMullen, Jr, Carol Stewart and husband, John, Charlie McMullen, and Christy McMullen of Azle; also surviving were eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; numerous family members and friends.
