Betty was born November 2, 1933 in Capulin, New Mexico, daughter of Claud and Roxie May (Wilson) McDaniel). She married James Phillips on Christmas Eve of 1950 and graduated from Poolville High School in 1951. They would have four children before they divorced in 1959. Betty completed her degree in education and would receive her teaching degree from Weatherford College in 1961. After completing college, she met the love of her life, Billy Herman McLin, and they would marry and join their families together on June 3, 1961. They would go on to spend 62 happy years together until Billy’s passing in June of this year. Betty had the dream of becoming a nurse, like her mother, and she would return to Weatherford College and graduate as an LVN in 1979. She was a faithful servant of our Lord, who prayed without ceasing. She had praise continually on her lips and in her heart.
