Betty Jane Gilbert

Betty Jane Gilbert, 79, beloved sister and friend, went home to be with the Lord and family, Friday, May 28, 2021 at her home in Weatherford. Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 in Brock Cemetery, Brock. Betty was born February 15, 1942 in Weatherford, daughter of Virgil A. and Lois Maddux Gilbert. She graduated from Weatherford College with an Associates Degree in 1962. Betty had a servant’s heart, spending many years caring for her Mom, Dad and Sister. She loved putting together puzzles with her family. Betty was a member of Brock Methodist Church for many years. Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father; sisters, Mary Helen Gilbert, and Anita Carter. Survivors: Brother, Bill Gilbert; sister, Joy Allmon and husband, Ricky; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members and dear friends.
