Betsy Coder Grammer Dearing, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in her home in Aledo.
Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Aledo United Methodist Church, 100 Pecan Dr., Aledo.
Interment: 2 p.m. Thursday at New Gordon Cemetery.
Betsy was born September 16, 1940 in Aledo, daughter of Roy and Mattie (Moore) Coder. She was a longstanding citizen of Aledo until moving to Gordon in 1991. Betsy was an active member in the Methodist Church community playing the organ in both churches for many years, attending mission trips and serving in various other roles. She spent her career as an LVN for Medical Plaza Hospital in Fort Worth (now known as Medical City of Fort Worth). Betsy devoted her life to her church, helping others, and being a friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Mattie Coder; sister, Grace Shaw; first late husband, Thomas Grammer (married from 1962-1985); and second late husband, Jake Bud Dearing (married from 1991-2022).
She is survived by her three children, Thomas Grammer and wife, Regina, of Aledo, Suzanne Mazoch and husband, Russell, of Aledo, and Lisa Shaw and husband, Randy, of Weatherford; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
