Ben Ed Hale, 84, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Medical City Alliance in Fort Worth, Texas.
Visitation: 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025 at White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, Texas.
Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 8, 2025 at White's Chapel of Memories.
Interment: Aledo Brown Cemetery.
He was born February 1, 1941 in Gatesville, Texas, son of Reb and Essie (Henson) Hale.
Ben and his wife, Patty attended Aledo Church of Christ. He spent many years taking care of Patty, his loving wife of 47 years, until Alzheimer's took her from us in September of 2024. Ben grew up in Benbrook, Texas, where he had many friends. He has made his home in Aledo for about 45 years.
He retired from Bell Helicopter after many years as a Heat Treater. He and Patty loved a pretty yard and loved to travel the country in their RV.
In the last years of his life, he loved sitting on the front porch across from school watching school traffic and children. He will be missed and was loved by many family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Patty; a baby daughter, Anita Kay Hale; five sisters; and many other family members and friends.
Ben is survived by his children, Eddie Hale (Patti), David Hale (Kate), John Carr, LaVaughn Stroud, and Kim Linders; grandchildren, Courtney Palmer (Masten), Jacob Hale, Madison Hale, Garrett Hale, Blake Stroud, and Haley Stroud; and a host of extended family and friends.
