Atlee Alan Walters, known to most as Alan, passed away on May 14, 2026, in Springtown, Texas, at the age of 65 after a courageous ten-year battle with cancer.
Born on May 5, 1961, in Toledo, Ohio, Alan lived a life defined by service, strength, and an unwavering love for those around him. Alan dedicated 28 years of his life to the United States Marine Corps, where he built a reputation for strong leadership and genuine care for the people he served alongside. After retiring from the Marines, he carried that same sense of duty into a career in law enforcement, continuing to protect and serve his community with the discipline and heart that defined everything he did.
Beyond his professional life, Alan was the kind of person who could fill a room with laughter. He had a funny, warm sense of humor that put people at ease, and his loving nature made everyone around him feel valued. He was a devoted husband and a caring father who cherished time spent with his family. When he wasn't busy looking after the people he loved, Alan could be found enjoying sports or exploring new places through travel, feeding a curiosity and adventurous spirit that never faded.
He was preceded in death by his father, Atlee Silas Walters, and his mother, Velma Lee Blankenship.
Alan is survived by his wife, Sherri Walters, and his son, Coltin Crosley, and daughter, Crystal Crosley who will carry his legacy of strength and love forward.
Alan found comfort in his faith, and we trust he is now at peace. As he would say himself, Semper Fi.
Our family will always love and miss him.
