Archer Gray Hammond

October 12, 2014 — April 5, 2021

Archer Gray Hammond, 6 years old passed away Monday April 5, 2021. Memorial Service: 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 12, 2021 at First United Methodist Church of Weatherford. Archer was born in Grapevine October 12, 2014, she was the most intelligent, beyond her years, full of life young girl that you could ever meet. Archer loved climbing everything: trees, rocks, buildings. One of my nicknames for her was “monkey”. She loved listening to music . If I slipped and let a song play with a cuss word she would act innocently and say “I shouldn’t say (whatever cuss word was said) should I” with grin. She was always dancing around and bouncing off the walls. I would always joke with her if just had 10% of her energy I would be so happy. Archer would run over and poke me with her finger and yell ZAP! I gave you energy! Archer liked coloring and painting, all arts and crafts really. The messier the better! She was extremely artistic and could draw very well considering her age. Definitely a better artist than me. Archer loved reading so much and learning about anything science related. We would watch YouTube videos, she loved the space focused ones the most. We watched several of the spaceX launches and seemed to enjoy me explaining what was going on, although she could have just pretended she was interested to make me happy. Archer had such a big heart and was so empathetic. She was always smiling and everyone she met instantly became her new best friend. Archer absolutely loved going to Primrose to see her friends and that includes the staff there. She absolutely loved everyone that worked there. She would pretend she was upset if we picked her up before 5:30 cause she didn’t get to go outside again and play with her friends. Archer loved being outside riding her bike, scooter, rollerblades, climbing trees, doing gymnastics, or running around with the kids that lived in the apartment complex. She was very clumsy and definitely inherited that from me. Archer liked playing games especially ones she made up and invented the rules for, no matter what the game was, she always seemed to win, I never quite figured out how she managed it. Archer loved her little sister, Lilly and would show her off any chance she got. She loved playing dress up and pretend to be a princess or have magical powers. Archer was just such a happy kid and always lit up a room. Even when she was being a brat which was quite often she brought so much joy and happiness in to my life. She loved so much and never ever met a stranger. Archer loved music, dancing, gymnastics, playing with her dad, she called him “da-da”. She loved playing and staying at her MiMi’s house. Archer loved her MIMi’s dog, Raven, a Boston Terrier !!. She called her Rae-Rae. They played so hard together. Loved to sleep with her stuffed animals and called them her “snuggle friends”. Survivors: Dad, Timothy Hammond; paternal grandma, Michele; Abuelo Bert; maternal grandmother, Juli Kidd; paternal uncles, Nate and Mikey; paternal aunt, Meredith; maternal uncle, Harrrison Kidd; maternal great-grandmother, Marilyn Kidd; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great uncles and great aunts; and so many more extended family who all loved her more then we could put into words Archer brought so much joy to our family and will be forever missed by all of us.
