Weatherford

Ann Kathryn Adams Adkins passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, in Weatherford, Texas.

Ann was a woman of deep faith, quiet strength, and unwavering love for her family. In the months and years of her life, she chose forgiveness over blame, grace over bitterness, and trust in the Father through every circumstance. Her walk with her Heavenly Father and her Messiah, Yeshua, was evident to all who knew her. She lived with a steady desire to abide in Him, and that faith shaped not only her own life but also the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family. Her heart longed to one day hear the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant,” and all who knew her believed she lived that calling well.

Beyond her faith, Ann will be remembered for the joy and laughter she brought into everyday life. She had a remarkable sense of style and creativity that was evident in everything she touched, from her home to her cooking, always finishing with what the family lovingly called “a dash of Ann.” She made ordinary moments unforgettable: strawberry shortcake, vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce and Spanish peanuts, lunches filled with laughter, afternoons of classical music or movies, and glasses of Good Earth iced tea poured over a full glass of ice.

She had a gift for making people laugh and for turning even the smallest outings into family stories that would be retold for years to come. Whether it was getting carried away laughing at the BX, sharing funny family mishaps, or simply sitting around the table listening to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren tell stories, those moments became part of the legacy she leaves behind. Her family remembers her as someone who never took herself too seriously, who could always find humor in the moment, and who made everyone around her feel loved, seen, and at home.

More than anything, Ann loved her family dearly. She leaves behind her loving sister, Hallie Adams Long; her children, Glen and Tina Adkins, Ann and Frank McKinnon, and Kathryn Marckesano and Robert Druary; her cherished grandchildren, Michele Marckesano, CDR Caleb McKinnon, Samuel McKinnon, Aaron McKinnon, and Katy Lasley; and eleven beloved great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her former husband, Eldon Glen Adkins, and her beloved grandson, MSG Andrew Marckesano.

Her love, faith, laughter, and the memories made around her table will continue to live on in each of them.

Service details will be announced by the family.
