Allen Royce Stevens

Allen Royce Stevens, 82, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022 at his home in Springtown. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2022 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown. Interment: 3:30 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2022 in Cottondale Cemetery in Cottondale. Allen was born January 28, 1940 in Bridgeport, Texas to Thelma Larue Stevens. He grew-up on the farm near Paradise by his grandparents Bob and Litha Stevens and he graduated from high school in Paradise in 1958. Allen moved his family to Springtown in 1967 where he was a farmer until 1984, then in the following years he was a handyman, retired in 2011. He was a member of Springtown Baptist Temple, and served on City Council in Springtown. He was preceded in death by in laws, Vance and Emma Dean Beaty; sister-in-law, Glenda Beaty Cash and mother Thelma Woods; six aunts and one uncle. Allen is survived by his wife, Patricia Beaty Stevens; son, Mark Allen and wife Cindy; daughter, Deborah Stevens and Bobby Miles; four grandkids, Dewley and wife Stephanie, Seth Miles and wife Kayla Miles, Joshua Stevens and wife Karie, Devanie Stevens and husband Mike Smith; half sister, Deyanne ‘DeeDee’ Woods and half brother, Don Woods; and eleven great-grandkids that were his greatest joy. Also many cousins, nieces and nephews. Over the years, Allen has touched many lives, and he will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
