Alfonso Olivares Rodriguez

Our Lord Jesus Christ has called our father, Alfonso Olivares Rodriguez, to be in his presence. He has finished his journey in this world to rest in eternal peace. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, surrounded by his wife and children. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Mineral Wells. Interment: 1 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2021 at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2021 at White’s Funeral Home, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. Alfonso was born on September 2, 1955 in Torreon, Coahuila Mexico. He was raised in Torreon by his maternal grandfather, who he adored and admired, Alfonso Rodriguez Sosa. Alfonso married the love of his life, Irma Valerio Luevanos, on February 11, 1978 in Torreon. They had three children. Dad was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved playing with his grandchildren, especially the twins, Addy and Enny. Dad was a strong-minded person, determined and always willing to help others. He will be greatly missed by his family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alfonso Rodriguez Sosa, Salvador Olivares Vallejo; and father, Andres Olivares Acosta. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Irma Olivares; daughter, Ileana, son-in-law, Fernando Gonzalez and grandchildren, Sinhue Fernando and Haydee Ileana; daughter, Griselda, son-in-law, Ruben Gonzalez and grandchildren, Sein Ruben, Yandel Gael, Adael and Enny; son, Alfonso Alejandro.
