Alan Mark Peveto

Alan Mark Peveto (Mark), 67, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 in Weatherford after a long illness. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2022 in White's Chapel of Memories, Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you plant or donate a tree because Mark's birthday is the day after Earth Day. Please post a picture of it to share with others to keep his memory growing. Mark was born in Alice, TX on April 23, 1954 to Edgar Henry Peveto and Anna Marie Wittneben Peveto. When Mark was about 5 years old, the family moved to Beaumont, TX. He graduated from Forest Park High School in Beaumont in 1972. Mark attended Lamar University. He moved to Fort Worth, TX in 1973 and attended the University of Texas at Arlington, where he held the leg press record for many years. He married Cynthia Gibson in August 1978 and had 2 children. Mark worked in oilfield fabrication in Fort Worth for over 25 years. He moved to the Weatherford area in 1996 to enjoy county life, raising cows, and making some of the best barbecue you have ever had. Mark worked at Lear Corp in Arlington from 1999 until he retired in 2020. Mark is preceded in death by his Father, Edgar Henry Peveto. He is survived by his Mother, Anna Marie Peveto of Richmond, TX; Wife of 43 years, Cynthia Gibson Peveto of Weatherford, TX; Daughter & Son-in-law, Sarah Peveto Wadlington and Spencer Wadlington of Weatherford, TX; Grandson, Mason Henry Wadlington of Weatherford, TX; Son, Blake Peveto of Weatherford, TX; sister, Janis Simmons of Richmond, TX; Brother & Sister-in-law, Michael & Carla Peveto of Joshua, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
