Lucille Fern Lester, 98, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 with her loving family by her side. Service: Noon Friday at Briar Church of Christ. Interment: Azleland Memorial Park. Lucille was born in Dallas County March 29, 1919 to Crawford and Edith Ford Madden. She was a loving mother of six children and several grandchildren. Lucille was a religious woman that taught her children about the Bible. She was a dairy farmer’s wife, a school bus driver, and enjoyed painting. Lucille was also an avid seamstress. She enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for all of them. Lucille was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph O. Lester; son, John Lester; sisters, Louise Vorin and Virginia Cober; brother, C.J. Madden; and granddaughter, Leah Lester. Survivors: Judy Camp and husband, Donald, Jeanette Cox and husband, King David, Lynda Lester and Mary Dunn and husband, Tom; son, Dave Lester and wife, Andrea; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and loving family members.
