Wade Eugene Rickard, Sr.

Wade Eugene Rickard, Sr., 70, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017. 

Graveside Service:  11 a .m. Wednesday in Springtown Cemetery, Springtown.

 Wade was born October 24, 1946 in Ashville, North Carolina, son of Thomas Howard Rickard and Loni Viola Burleson Rickard.  He married the love of his life, Debbie Weeks Rickard, and they spent many happy years together raising their family.  

Wade proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army for three years in the Vietnam War.  His family was the light of his life and he enjoyed spending time with them more than anything.  Wade was an avid Nascar fan, spending many Sundays cheering on his favorite drivers. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James Rickard and Earl Rickard. 

Survivors:  Wife, Debbie; children, Teresa, David Wayne, Vickie, Larry, Wade Jr., David Ryan and Steven; sister, Betty Rickard DeHart; brother, Floyd Rickard; 22 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
