WEATHERFORD - Orville Donnie Wortham, 93, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 at his home in Weatherford.Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.Orville was born in Kinta, Okla., the son of Claud and Lillian Mullens Wortham. He graduated from Kinta High School. He attended Business College and SMU after moving to Texas in 1946. Orville served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He and his first wife, Johnnie, married in 1944, lived in Grand Prairie and he worked for LTV in computer programming. In 1965 Orville and Johnnie bought a dress shop in Arlington, which they sold in 1982 to move to Weatherford. They had beautiful vegetable gardens, that they shared with neighbors, friends and family. When they moved to Weatherford, they also sold produce at the Market. Johnnie died in 1984. In 1986, Orville married Jo Grimes and they were married until Jo died in 2016.Orville served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 50 years.He is preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Lillian; wives, Johnnie Ramsey and Zodia Chloe (Jo) Humphreys Grimes.Survivors: Daughters, Marsha Norwood and husband, Jim, of Weatherford, and Teresa Rossi and husband, Bill, of Midlothian; stepsons, Joe Don Grimes and wife, Peggy, Doug Grimes and wife, Teresa, and John Grimes and wife, Debra; sister, Francille Clements of Houston; 18 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends.Services are in care of White's Funeral Home, Weatherford.
