Michael Wayne Parten

Michael Wayne Parten, 65, passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017. Graveside Service: 12:30 P.M. Friday at Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday prior to the service at White’s Azle Funeral Home. Michael was born September 18, 1951 in Fort Worth to Dewitt and Wanda Padgett Parten. He graduated from Azle high School in 1969. Michael enjoyed sports, listening to loud Rock and Roll music, was a collector of coins, Avon, Marilyn Monroe and Star Wars memorabilia. Michael worked for 20 plus years at a Volkswagen of America Corporation. He was a person who always helped anyone in need. Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Parten; mother of his children, Peggy Parten; son, James Bradley Parten; and 2nd wife, Gaytha Parten. Survivors: Father, Dewitt Parten and wife, Nancy; mother, Wanda Patterson and husband, Butch; daughter, Amy Parten; son, Michael Parten and wife, Melanie; brothers, Russ Parten, Eric Patterson and wife, Loli, and Scott Haynes; sisters, Kim Shelton and husband, Allan, and Vicki Parten; granddaughter, Emily Parten; grandson, Chase Parten; several nephews, nieces, cousins and loving family.
