Charles Ray Furr

WEATHERFORD -- Charles Furr, 74, went to see our Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Memorial service: 11 a.m., Saturday in White's Chapel of Memories. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donation may be sent to "Nickles for Nanny", a go fund me account on Facebook or gofundme.com. Charles was born in Dallas on February 20, 1942. He worked at Bell Helicopter for 33 years before he retired. Charles was a reserve officer for the Dallas Police Department for 8 years. He was a proud member of New Haven Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Zora Furr; sister, Peggy Harmon; brothers, Glenn Furr, Doyle Furr, Marshall Neil Furr; and granddaughter, Nichole Furr. Survivors: His wonderful wife of 56 years, Joey Furr; children, Donnie Furr and wife, Stephanie, Tracey Shumway and husband, Brett, Mark Furr and wife, Janeie, Laurie Claunch and husband, Raymond; sisters, Katie Thompson and husband, John, and Joe Bourland and husband, Rob; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and one more on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
