Doris Maurine Reynolds

Doris Maurine Reynolds, 88, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday at Jaybird Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle, 76020. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Ste., 250, Dallas, 75244. Maurine was born March 28, 1928 in Ackerly to William and Rebecca Williams. She attended Springtown High School where she was an avid volleyball player and graduated in 1936. After refusing a scholarship to Baylor University, she became a dedicated employee to the U.S. Government until she retired. In her spare time, Maurine loved to play the piano and could always be found in the front row of the church choir. She loved every person with whom she came in contact. She was truly a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Maurine was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Marty Reynolds. Survivors: son, Monty Reynolds and wife, Amy; grandchildren, Madison Reynolds and Lauren Reynolds; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
