Jessie Brooks Woods, 97, passed away July 20, 2016 with her family by her side.
Service: 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 25, 2016 at White's Funeral Home.
Interment: Springtown Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at White's Funeral Home.
Jessie was born June 30, 1919 to Jesse and Mattie Young Brooks in Springtown. She married Edward Woods April 19, 1936 in Sayre, Oklahoma. Jessie loved dancing, playing card games with family, getting hugs and kisses, children and dogs. She was also a talented quilter.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Woods on October 6, 1981; granddaughter, Wendy Culver; son, Roy Woods; two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors: Daughters, Edwina Prowitt, Judy White and husband, David; son, Robert Woods and wife, Betty; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces and family members.
