Helen Wren Steen

Helen Wren Steen, of Ft. Worth Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday May 20, 2016 at the age of 94. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday, May 23, 2016 at Arbor Lawn United Methodist Church, Ft. Worth. Visitation: 9 to 11 am Monday at the church. Interment: Following the service at Springtown Cemetery, Springtown. Wren was born in Springtown, Tx and grew up with her 3 sisters and 2 brothers on their family dairy farm. She married her late husband, Jim Steen, at the age of 35 and was happily married for over 40 years. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister who held close relationships with each of her immediate and extended family members. Wren was a successful real estate agent, well known in Irving and Ft. Worth Tx, and a devout member of Arbor Lawn United Methodist Church where she was loved by many friends in the congregation. She enjoyed spending time with her family, entertaining and playing bridge and was well known for her high spirit, keen wit and loving heart. She is survived by her son, Richard Steen, her beloved granddaughter, Samantha Steen, her brother, Bill Haygood and many other loving family members.
