CORPUS CHRISTI -- James Wesley (J.W.) Holley, 95, of Corpus Christi, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2016, at a local hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Whites Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, Texas 76086. Burial will be in Amarillo at a later date.
J.W. was born April 12, 1921 in Boonsville to Wesley and Francis (Stark) Holley. He was retired from Phillips Petroleum Company where he was employed for many years as an industrial mechanic. He was a dedicated Mason, achieving the level of 32nd degree, and holding various officer positions in the Billy Dixon Chapter at Fritch. He was an avid sports fan and particularly enjoyed professional football and baseball. He also enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with his sons and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Ella (Frampton) Holley in 2006.
J.W. is survived by his two sons, James Weldon Holley and his wife, Sandra, who reside in Pampa, Charles DeWayne Holley who resides in Corpus Christi; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
