Anita Kay Batey

AZLE -- Anita Kay Batey, 66, a long time resident of Azle, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016, in her home, surrounded by her family. Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle. Anita was born August 21, 1949 in Fresno, Calif., daughter of Happy and Helen Jefferies Thompson. She was a dedicated employee of R.L.I. for several years. Anita was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Thompson; father, Happy Thompson; and brother, J. C. Thompson. She leaves behind her son, Doug Batey and wife, Regina; three grandchildren, Christie Batey, Kimberly Batey and Ashley Batey; six great-grandchildren, Shelby Davis, Emmerson Munoz, Kennedy Gracey, Jett Munoz, Covin Martinez and Cooper Smith; lifelong friend, Peggy Wilkins; and one sister, Sandra Thompson.
