Emagene Davis Cooper

Emagene Davis Cooper, passed in to the arms of Jesus, Sunday, March 6, 2016 at the age of 99 years.

 Service: 1:00 P.M. Friday in White's Azle Chapel. 

Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery.

 Visitation: 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Friday at White's Azle Chapel. 

Emagene was born December 22, 1916 in Italy, Texas to Eli and Bessie Beck Murphree. She raised four children. Emagene loved to play music with the Humdingers Band at the Senior Citizen Center. She was a devoted Christian lady and was active in the GA's at the Baptist Church. 

She lived in Azle for 95 years beginning school at 5 years and graduated from Azle High School. 

Emagene was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Garland Davis and Joe Cooper; son Phil Davis; Daughter, Shirley Dodson; sisters, Mildred Woods, Nodie Griggs, and Betty Smith; brothers, Hoyt Murphree, Rufus Murphree, Bobby Murphree and Marcus Murphree; and granddaughters, Misty Hamilton and Kelley Holden. 

Survivors: Sons, Billy Davis and wife, Elaine and Skipper Davis and wife, Mary; sister, Dorothy Hill; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and loving family members.
