WEATHERFORD -- Sandra Kay Linde-Ellis, 66, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016.
Funeral Service: 5 p.m. Tuesday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford
Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service.
Iowa Service: 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, La Porte City, Iowa with visitation from 12 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
Interment: West View Cemetery, La Porte City, Iowa.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made in Sandra's memory to Honor Flight of Dallas or Iowa.
Sandra was born October 26, 1949 in Los Angeles, Calif., daughter of Myron Robert and Charlotte Jeannette Newton Linde. She worked for the 3M Corporation for over 30 years in the H. R. Dept., in several different states, including California, Minnesota, Utah and New Jersey. Sandra enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. She loved growing beautiful flower gardens, watching Dancing With The Stars and line dancing, even teaching line dancing at times. Sandra was co-founder of the Fort Worth Chapter of Honor Flights, assisting veterans to visit World War II and military memorials in Washington, D.C. She was active with the Senior Center in Weatherford and was raised as a Methodist in La Porte City, Iowa. Sandra and her husband, James, loved corvettes. They owned several over the years and attended many Corvette Rallies. Sandra was the family matriarch, making sure that the family stayed close. She photographed flowers and made birthday and anniversary cards for her loved ones as a way of keeping in touch. Sandra was very special and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 13 years, James Ellis.
Survivors: brother, Rod Linde and wife, Kate, of Weatherford; many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews; and many other loving friends.
