Georgia "Macie" Betts

Georgia Betts, 76, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Thursday at East Greenwood Cemetery. Georgia Betts was born September 19, 1938 to Henry Selph and Cleo Murrell in Nacogdoches, Texas. She married Bobby Betts in 1958. Georgia was a retired school cafeteria worker, who enjoyed reading, loved the Texas Rangers, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Creasy Meyer. Survivors: Loving husband of 57 years, Bobby Betts; sons, Douglas Strong and wife, Debra, and James Betts; daughter, Catherine Reddell and husband, Donald; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; soon to be born great grandchild; sisters, Hettie Mae Esch and Eva Jo Mullen; brother, Lewis Mullen; several nieces, nephews, and loving friends.
