Edward "Ed" Michael Burke

WEATHERFORD -- Ed M. Burke, 69, died from a stroke Monday, May 4, 2015. Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Memorials: In lieu of usual remembrances donations in Ed's memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Ed was born April 9, 1946, son of Joseph Burke and Birtie Lou Boyd Burke, in Manhattan, New York. He retired from Lockheed Martin in April of 2011, having worked as an engineer on the F-22 Jet Fighter. Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Birtie Burke; and father, Joseph Burke. Survivors: Wife, Frances Burke of Weatherford; stepsons, Keith Barnes of Fort Worth and Kevin Barnes of Hurst; granddaughters, Amber, Crystal and Lindsey; five great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; siblings, Carol Burke and Paul Burke, of Kerrville, Susan Burke of Grand Prairie and Nancy Burke of League City.
