WEATHERFORD -- Eskel Leo Brannan, age 97, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015 at Holland Lake Nursing Home in Weatherford.
Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Monday at East Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Leo was born on February 25, 1917 in Bynum to George and Murtle Brannan. He was a member of the Cowboys Turtle Association, Rodeo Cowboys Association, PRCA and STRA. Leo was inducted into the Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2008. He honorably and proudly served his country in World War II.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents; brother, T. J. Brannan; wife, Delighta Elizabeth Brannan; and granddaughter, Kodie Gouge; two stepsons, Philip Calabria and Peter Calabria.
Survivors: Daughter, Frances Gouge and husband, David, of Weatherford; grandchildren, Wesley Gouge and Angela Gouge of Weatherford, Phylis Atkins of New Mexico, Richard Calabria of Maryland, Frances Harris and Eugene Calabria of Waxahachie, Philip Dee Calabria of Calif.; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
