Evelyn Lois May

WEATHERFORD -- Evelyn Lois May, 87, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at a local care center. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Evelyn was born June 23, 1927, daughter of Aubrey Paul and Mary Madeline Utley Frair, in Tulsa, Okla. She met and married R.D. May and they raised nine beautiful children together. Evelyn was a delightful people person with an infectious personality. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, R.D. May; brother, P.D. Frair; her parents; daughter-in-law, Sharan Sutherland; grandson, Stephen Sutherland; and son-in-law, David Sneed. Survivors: Children, Michael Sutherland, Michelle Sneed, Margaret Hogan and husband, Johnny, Judy Brown and husband, Buster, Garry Sutherland and wife, Susan, Robert Sutherland and wife, Sheryl, Willie Sutherland and wife, Donna, Raylyn Haley, and Joyce Gonzales and husband, Lupe; 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters, Mary, Linda and Peggy; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
