WEATHERFORD -- Roy Billiot, 69, a longtime resident of Springtown, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, surrounded by family in Fort Worth.Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of White's Funeral Home, 401 North Main St., Springtown. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Roy Peter Billiot was born June 24, 1943, in Houma, La., the baby of 13 children to the late Alfred and Victoria Matherne Billiot. He married the former Elma Verdin and they shared 44 years together. Roy made his career as a welder but his real joy was playing his guitar and singing at the senior center in Springtown.Roy was preceded in death by his son, Randy Billiot; granddaughter, Olivia; great-grandson, Braxton; and his parents; and 12 brothers and sisters.Survivors: Wife of 44 years, Elma Billiot of Weatherford; children, Randineo Billiot, Ramara Billiot, Roy Billiot Jr., Rhoda Smith, Rhonda Foster, Rowdy Billiot, Raquel Billiot, Ralston Billiot, and Rinald Billiot; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
