Harlon "Bo" Wright, 60 passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 after a brief diagnosis of cancer. Services: 1:00 Saturday, December 29, at Hilltop Family Church, 1227 Old Cottondale Rd., Springtown with interment following at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8pm Friday at Hilltop Family Church. Bo was born August 21, 1952 in Ft. Worth to Harlon Oscar Wright, Jr. and Mary Nell Wheeler Wright. He was a Sergent with the Wise County Sheriff's Office for 22 years. Bo was named deputy of the year in 2011. He was a 1983 world champion wild horse racer, bull fighter, and rodeo clown. Bo loved to cook barbeque and traveling in his motor home with all the grand kids. More than 20 years ago he and John Conway helped start Hilltop Family Church where he served as the church treasurer. Bo was a member of Greenwood Lodge #779, a 32nd Degree Master Mason. Bo was preceded in death by his father; son, Jeremy Wright; and sister, Truma Nell Davidson. Survivors: wife, Vicki Wright of Boyd; son, Ben Wright and wife Paula of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Lucas, Destiny, Larkyn Wright, and Myka Poteet; mother, Mary Nell Wright of Boyd; sister, Luanne Robinson of Boyd; nephews, Chris Davidson and Flint Robinson; and numerous cousins.
