Nettie Ann Phillips

Nettie Ann Farris Phillips, 85, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away Monday, January 21, 2013. Service: 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 24 at LaJunta Baptist Church, 5207 E. Hwy. 199, Springtown, 76082. Interment: Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at White's Azle Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle, 76020. Nettie Ann Phillips was born October 13, 1927 in Harrold to William and Dorothy Farris. She was a longtime resident of Azle. Nettie loved to listen to and play music. Another pastime was playing "42" and eating sweet rolls on Sunday night. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother. Survivors: Husband of 50 years, John Phillips of Azle; daughter, Norma Byers and husband, James of Springtown; sons, Jimmy Woodby and wife, Jeanette of Springtown, and Justin Woodby of Azle; daughter, Nancy Hand of Wyoming; sons, Paul Phillips and wife, Kathy of Arlington, John Phillips, Jr of Fort Worth, Frank Phillips and wife, Suzanne of Fort Worth, Thomas Phillips of Calif., James "Jimbo" Phillips of Fort Worth; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald Farris; sister, Cledia Cozart; and numerous friends and acquaintances.
