Brock -- N. L. (Lynn) Shirley, 90, a retired carpenter and farmer, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at a local hospital. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday at Brock Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford. N. L. (Lynn) was born October 13, 1922, the son of Ezra and Verdie Shirley in Llano. He lived in Brock most of his life. Lynn married Oma Glen Mathews of Brock on March 13, 1940. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Oma; his parents; one granddaughter; and one brother. Survivors: Daughter, Janice Collins and husband, Kenneth, of Dennis; son, Donald Shirley and wife, Linda, of Brock; three granddaughters, Donna Cox and husband, John, of Cypress, Dianna Taylor and husband, Todd, of Brock, and Mendy Golightly and husband, Danny, of Brock; six great-grandchildren, Cayla Smith, Johonna Cox, Jana and Grant Golightly, and Tristen and Takota Taylor; one great-great-grandchild, Aurora Jo Smith; one sister, Irene Cardwell of Brock; and one brother, Jim Shirley of Breckenridge.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
