Larry Dean Tunnell

Larry Dean Tunnell, age 70, passed away suddenly on Friday, January 25, 2013. 10:00 a.M. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church, 306 Palo Pinto Street, in Weatherford. Interment:East Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at White's Funeral Home. Larry, a longtime resident of Weatherford, was born December 30, 1942 to Oliver and Maxine Tunnell in Littlefield, Texas. Larry and Sharon were married November 4, 1961 and recently celebrated their 51st anniversary. Larry was an active member of the Earth and Weatherford communities. In Earth he served as Mayor and was active in the Lions Club. Then in Weatherford as a member of the Weatherford Evening Lions Club. He felt it was an honor and a duty to be involved in the community and was involved in many community projects. He was always willing to give back to the community whether it was through giving his time, purchasing raffle tickets or in many other ways. He is survived by his wife, Sharon Ann Tunnell; children, Stephanie Jones of Slaton, Stacy Miller of Austin, Jason Tunnell of Georgetown and Jocelyn Simms of Carroll, OH; and their spouses; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Jerry Tunnell of Mineral Wells and Gene Tunnell of Earth and a large extended family.
