Billy John Teel

WEATHERFORD -- Billy John Teel, 76, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, surrounded by family in Fort Worth. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford. Memorial service: Noon Monday at Central Christian Church, 1602 S. Main St., Weatherford. Billy John Teel was born April 21, 1936, in El Paso, son of the late John and Maude Holland Teel. He married the former Katherine Woodley on July 25, 1959, and they began their life together. Billy John made his career with El Paso Natural Gas Company and retired after 34 dedicated years of service. After retirement, Billy John and Katherine moved to Weatherford, where they lived for the last eight years. Prior to moving to Weatherford, Billy John was very active at Desert View United Church of Christ and joined Central Christian Church after his move to Weatherford. Billy John graduated with the class of 1954 from Deming High School in New Mexico and honorably served his country in the United States Army. Billy John was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Katherine Teel, in 2008; his parents; and sister, Barbara Indelicato. Survivors: Son, William Teel and wife, Joanne, of Carrollton; daughter, Sharmon Teel of Weatherford; grandchildren, Kyle and Alexa; brother, Russell Teel and wife, Vickie, of Kansas; five nephews; and a host of loving friends.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
