Lorene Carr Jenkins

Lorene Jenkins, 92, a lifetime resident of Parker County, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, in Weatherford. 

Graveside service: 3 p.m. Wednesday in East Greenwood Cemetery. 

Lorene Carr Jenkins was born Feb. 1, 1921, in Parker County, daughter of the late Ernest and Effie Fife Carr. Lorene had a very caring servant's heart and made her career as a homemaker and caregiver. She married William Jenkins on June 4, 1962, in Weatherford and was a member of North Main Church of Christ for more than 65 years. 

Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, William Jenkins on May 9, 1989; her parents; brothers, Cecil Carr and Eugene Carr; and sisters, Irene Jennings and Geraldine Carr. 

Survivors: Sister-in-law, Alice Carr; nephews and nieces, Jeff Carr, Joann Carr Simons, Betty Jennings Ellinger, and Patricia Jennings Hill; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.
