Rexana Carol Myers

Rexana Carol Myers, 77, has gone home to be with the Lord. She passed away the afternoon of Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013.Service: 2 p.m. Thursday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston St., Weatherford. Interment: Memory Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Rexana was born Dec. 17, 1935, and graduated from North Side High School in Fort Worth in 1953. She worked for many years at the Fort Worth Auto Auction and the Weatherford Auto Auction, and was well respected throughout the used-car industry. Rexana was a resident of Horseshoe Bend since 1979 and was active in starting the Horseshoe Bend Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary, where she spent many years helping to improve her community. She was a longtime member of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Weatherford. Rexana will be missed by all who knew her. She was always ready with a big smile, a kind word, a humorous quip and an infectious laugh. She was preceded in eternal life by her husband, Marion W. Myers Sr.; parents, Eleanor and Rexford Hufstedler; son, Roy Myers; granddaughter, Eva Myers; and niece, Andrea Walker. Survivors: Children, Candy Evens and Carol Black of Weatherford, Preston Snead of Apache Junction, Ariz., Juanita Arnold of Weatherford, Evelyn Fisher of Odessa, Vernon Myers of Alvarado, Peggy Rogers of Katy, Marion Myers Jr. of Weatherford and Diane Myers of Keller; sister, Gail Marshall of Carrollton; brother, Geary Hufstedler and wife, Jane, of Hot Springs, Ark.; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
