Evelyn Pearl White

WEATHERFORD -- Evelyn White, 89, passed away Monday, March 25, 2013. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday in Memory Gardens, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, 76086. Memorials: Meals on Wheels, 1225 Holland Lake Drive, Weatherford, Texas 76086; or the Abandoned Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 61, Weatherford, Texas 76086. Evelyn was born March 9, 1924, in Fort Worth to Con and Clara Hargrove. She married Charles White Jr. on Sept. 8, 1940, in Brady and they were married for 54 years. Together they ran Charles White and Sons Automotive Services in Weatherford. Evelyn loved to take care of her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles White Jr.; son, Larry White; and sister, Martha Dean. Survivors: Son, Morris White and wife, Judy, of Weatherford; grandchildren, Rod White of Weatherford, Todd White and wife, Jennifer, of Weatherford, Judd White and wife, Jaime, of Weatherford, Shelly Cox of Arlington, and Melanie White of Arlington; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
