WEATHERFORD -- Ellen J. Dearson, 97, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her home. Funeral service: 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford. Interment: 4 p.m. Wednesday in Eola Cemetery. Emma Ellen Jones was born October 23, 1915 to the late Evans and Ruth Cunningham Jones in Mills County. She met and married Harmon Dee Dearson and they spent 69 wonderful years together. Ellen and Harmon owned a furniture store in San Angelo for many years. They also owned and maintained their farm there. Ellen and Harmon moved to the Weatherford area about fifteen years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Harmon Dee Dearson; her parents; daughter, Lenell Meyer; sisters, Ruby Jo Freeman and Vera Powell. Survivors: Son-in-law, Delbert Meyer of Weatherford; grandson, Carl Meyer and wife, Dawn, of Paradise; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Matthew Meyer; several great nieces, nephews and a host of friends.White's Funeral HomeWeatherford, 817-596-4811
