Donald Dwain Mash, 75, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 in Ft. Worth. Memorial Service: 2:00 pm Saturday, May 18 at White's Funeral Chapel in Springtown. Don was born August 6, 1937 in Italy, TX to the late Arleigh Mash and Emma Mathers Mash. On July 12, 1956 he married the love of his life, Lacretia Scott, and together they began their life as a United States Coast Guard family, living in numerous places on the East and West coasts. After retiring from the Coast Guard, he and his family settled in the Springtown area, where he became a deputy sheriff serving both Parker and Wise Counties. Don was also the founder of Ben's Pizza. Don had many hobbies where he loved to tinker and was known as a "jack of all trades." Don was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Mary Ruth Person. Survivors: wife, Lacretia Mash; daughters, Pamela Carpenter, and husband Dale, Cynthia Scott, and Anna Langel; grandsons, Donald Carpenter, Aaron Carpenter, Jeremiah Coan, and Ben Scott; grand daughters, Taylor Coleman, and Sarah Coleman; brothers, Charles Mash and Earl Mash; several nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
