Paul Martin Bencze, Jr., loving husband and father, passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 in Ft. Worth. Service: 10:00 am Monday, May 20, at the First Baptist Church of Springtown, 500 N. Main St. Interment will be at DFW National Cemetery at 2:15 pm. Visitation: 4 to 6 pm Sunday, May 19 at White's Funeral Home, Springtown. Paul was born April 30, 1932 in San Antonio to the late Paul Bencze, Sr. and Anna Sapp Bencze. June 1956 he married the love of his life, Eva Pate in Jacksonville, FL. Before moving to Springtown in 2002 he lived in Katy. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Springtown. Paul served in the United States Navy as a Plane Captain during the Korean War on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Stephen Bencze; brother-in-law, Lloyd Spangler; mother-in-law, Virginia Pace and father-in-law, William Pate. Survivors: wife of 57 years, Eva Bencze of Springtown; daughters, Sheryl Rodriguez and husband, Joe of Houston, Paula Plato, and husband, David of Springtown, Gennie Bencze and husband, Patrick of Springtown; granddaughters, Lauren Johnson of Houston, Jaina Bencze, and Jordan Bencze of Springtown; grandsons, Tyler Plato and Travis Plato of Springtown; brother, John Bencze and wife Terri of Lago Vista; sisters, Elizabeth Miller and husband, Alton of San Antonio and Hazel Spangler of Katy; sister-in-law, Chantal Bencze of Houston; numerous nieces and nephews.
