Glen Edwin McBride, 71, entered into rest on Friday, June 7, 2013. Glen grew up in Oklahoma where he fell in love with animals and the country life. He was introduced to Jack Pot Rodeos at an early age and furthered his passion of animals in high school with heavy involvement in the Bovine, Equine, and Swine Programs offered through the FFA. After graduating from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Animal Science, Glen started his career as a Cattle Buyer for Swift Packing Plant in St. Joseph, Missouri and then became Animal Services Supervisor/Buyer for Jensen Salisbury Pharmaceutical Labs. He went on to become a partner for Tri Tex Cattle Company, managing several large ranches for investor groups. In the mid 80's, Glen became the owner of 2 Chevrolet Dealerships in Oklahoma. After a short stint as the Western Region Dealer Coordinator for Sooner Trailers, he moved to Texas. Glen spent the last 12 years of his life as a "Cowboy" Realtor specializing in the sale of ranch properties. Glen's biggest passion in life was his love was for all things pertaining to Animal Science. He had more than 30 years experience in the Quarter Horse industry including breeding, raising, training, and riding. He executed in-depth equine disease research and implemented annual "Ray Hunt" horsemanship clinics. Glen built long lasting friendships with people located all over the United States. He was a great "Papa Glen" to his grand kids and will be dearly missed by many friends and family. Rest in Peace! Glen was preceded in death by his father, Byron McBride; his sister, Mrs. Virginia Ruth Kruger; and his Mother, Mrs. Earnestean (McBride) Callaway. Survivors: daughter, Glenna Kay McBride & fianc", Steve Wilson, of Collinsville, Oklahoma; son, Brad Alan McBride & wife, Michele, grandson Sage, and granddaughters, Saxon & Giovanna, all of Davie, Florida.
