SPRINGTOWN -- Bill Gregg, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Wichita Falls. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Memorials: In lieu of usual remembrances, the Gregg family suggests contributions in Bill's memory to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Inc., P.O. Box 4804, Wichita Falls, Texas 76308. William Gregg was born June 12, 1930, in Stanton, son of the late M.W. and Almedia Spinks Gregg. Bill owned and operated Bill Gregg Trucking Co. of Springtown and Gregg Tire and Battery in Hurst. He was a resident of Springtown for 18 years and loved dancing, fishing, and water skiing. Bill grew up in Clyde and worked in the oilfields of Hobbs, N.M. for many years. He was also a Mason. Bill ate at Howell's Western Cafe everyday for many, many years. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Lois Poindexter.
