FORT WORTH -- Edith Mae McDonell, 83, was called home by the Master on Friday, July 12, 2013, while surrounded by her loving family. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home Chapel, 401 N. Main St., Springtown. Interment: Springtown Cemetery Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Edith May Spence was born on August 26, 1929 to the late Robbie and Mossey Mae Harris Spence in Fort Worth and she spent most of her life there. She met and married the late Alexander McDonell and they had many happy years together prior to his passing. Edith was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander McDonell; sons, Clifford Grider and Douglas Grider; grandson, Dylan Weast; three brothers, Douglas, Carl and Kenneth Spence. Edith leaves behind to cherish her memory, Daughter-in-law, Julia Grider; granddaughters, Jeanette Reed, Natalie Nelson, Darlyn Compton, Christy Sandoval, Julia Anderson and Pamela Sanders; grandsons, Clifford Grider and Joshua Grider; twenty-six great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Spence; and a host of loving family and friends.
