Naomi L Washburn

Naomi L. Washburn, 84, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013, at her home with her family by her side. Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday in White's Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle. Entombment: Azleland Mausoleum. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Azle Retired Teacher Association. Naomi was born Dec. 16, 1928, in Spanish Fort to Johnnie and Bessie Wright. She taught first grade in Azle for 26 years at Walnut Creek Elementary and Silver Creek Elementary. Naomi was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Johnnie Wright; and brother, Bill Wright. Survivors: Husband of 61 years, Paul Washburn; children, Bruce Washburn and wife, Patricia, Arlon Washburn and wife, Ann, Livia Reasoner and husband, James; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Marion Wright, Robert Eltwain Wright, Elmo Wright, Avinell Ray and Nina Henderson.
