WEATHERFORD -- Billie Ware Brown, 92, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at a local care center. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. on Sat., Aug. 17, 2013 at White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Billie was born on August 21, 1920 to the late William and Francis Swinson Ware in Mingus. She graduated from Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth. Billie met and then married the love of her life, Jesse Brown, and they spent many happy years together prior to his passing. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years while she raised her family. Billie attended North Side Baptist Church in Weatherford and was a part of Silver Serenaders of the Cliff Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Brown, 30 years ago. Survivors: Son, Carey Joe Brown of Plano; daughter, Linda Dolney and husband, Duane, of Weatherford; grandchildren, Tracie Biggs and husband, David, of Azle, Kim South and husband, Brent, of Rockwall, Zachary Brown of Plano and Braden Brown of Plano; five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty McQuiston of Dallas and Judy Ware of Colorado; and many other loving family members and friends.
