Eula Mae Hastings, 82, of Springtown, peacefully passed away September 14, 2013, at home, surrounded by four generations of loving family.She was born September 25, 1930, in Olney, Texas, to the late Ruby Black and Jessie Hosea.Eula was married to J.B. Hastings October 15, 1949, in Littlefield, Texas, and later moved to Springtown to raise their daughters.She was welcomed into Heaven by her late husband, J.B., daughter, Brenda, sister, Mildred "Midge" Collier, brother, Elton "Sonny" Hosea, and parents, Ruby Black and Jessie Hosea.Eula was a hard working woman who was fiercely loyal, remarkably generous, and tenacious in all things. She was a magnet for injured or needy animals, and healer of the same. She was known for her potato salad, chicken and dumplings and pies. Eula was talented in everything from cooking to sewing and gardening, and had an uncanny ability to fix just about anything.She loved God, family, fishing and a very spoiled, grouchy chihuahua.Eula is survived by three daughters; Lenda and husband Mike Palmer of Hillsboro, Texas, Tia and husband Les Davidson of Azle, Texas, Brandi and husband Kyle Smith of Great Falls, Montana; four grandchildren; Casey and husband Gary Ryan of Tucson, Arizona, Kayla and husband Royal Rasmussen of Travis AFB, California, Kara Smith of Great Falls, Montana, and Brendan Grinalds of Azle, Texas; two great-grandchildren, twins Claire and Matthew Ryan of Tucson, Arizona; and her "Sweet Little Boy" Marty, the chihuahua.Her family was her pride and joy, and they miss her beyond measure, but rejoice in the knowledge that she is finally rejoicing with her Heavenly Father.
