Lawrence A Carpenter

Laurence "Skip" Carpenter, 82, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013. 

Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Monday at Holders Chapel Cemetery in Cool.

 L. A. "Skip" Carpenter was born August 10, 1931 to Arthur Loveland and Ida Maude Starks Carpenter in Oswego County, New York. He attended Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa and Missouri State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Education. Skip proudly served his country for four years in the United States Air Force, serving one year in South Korea. He retired after many years as an agent for State Farm. 

Survivors: Wife, Helen D. Peipelman Carpenter; children, Daniel Carpenter, Cheryl Mangan and husband, Jim, Russell Carpenter and Sheila Tredway and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Rebecca Carpenter, Olivia Whitesides and Matthew Carpenter; and many other family members and friends.
