Richard Allen Irelan, 55, passed away as a result of an auto accident Monday, September 23, 2013. Inurnment: 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 18 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to the Wounded Warriors Foundation, 12672 Silcon Dr., Suite 105, San Antonio, TX 78249. Richard was born June 30, 1958 in Lubbock. He honorably served his country with the United States Navy. During his career he served on the following submarines, Lapon from 1978 to 1983, Parchi from 1983 to 1986, Richard B. Russell from 1983 to 1986 , Tunny from 1996 to 1997 and on the Baton Rouge from 1989 to 1993. Survivors include his loving wife, Jennifer Irelan; son, Kevin Irelan; and many friends and family
